The economic vitality, global competitiveness, and prosperity of our community depend on the innovation and skills of our workforce. Companies need well-educated, skilled employees to develop and deliver competitive products and services. The need for skilled employees along with vetted outsourced resources is magnified in the tech industry where the technology landscape is evolving at an unprecedented rate.

LowcountryWorks™ is a directory and map of known technology companies and professionals in and around Beaufort County, South Carolina.

Career seekers will find this site especially useful by being able to quickly view the companies that are hiring and link directly to their respective career opportunities.

Talent Portal

An important aspect of any talent strategy is connecting career seekers and employers. Now, with our partnership with the Charleston Digital Corridor, employers are encouraged to use this valuable tool to post jobs and career seekers to post their resume.

BDC member companies may post jobs for a nominal fee of $69 each or purchase a five-pack for $299. Non-member companies may post jobs for $99 each.

All job postings are active for 30 days.

CODEcamp is an eight-week, in-classroom continuing tech education program designed for busy adults exploring a potential new career in the software industry or working professionals seeking to enhance their skills. Students learn the fundamentals of web development (HTML, CSS & Javascript) in a hands-on classroom environment.

Tickets available NOW for Spring 2019! Classes start March 23.

Live Work Mentor

The summer live/work/mentorship program is part of a larger economic development strategy–the Beaufort Digital Corridor serves as liaison between institutions of higher education and the business community to enable graduates to remain in the state of South Carolina. Our first collaboration was with the College of Charleston's ImpactX accelerator program, creating a model for launching similar projects with other partner colleges in the future.

With local and regional support, and our own USCB right up the road, we hope to keep the summers alive with innovation, making BASEcamp a true "tech retreat".

Game On!

Summer camp schedules now open for registration in June and July 2019!

Game On! is a code education program geared toward middle and high school students who would like to learn the practice of game design and development. Students will learn the theory, tools, and practice required to create their own games over the course of five Saturdays.

User Groups

At the Digital Corridor, we believe that user groups are integral to Beaufort's tech ecosystem. We are delighted to support and facilitate new technical user groups at our BASEcamp facility for meetings along with co-promoting meet-ups through our social media channels.
